4th of July Craft – Patriotic Button Bucket

The 4th of July weekend is the perfect reason for a celebration barbeque in the backyard. Use these $1 white metal buckets and Button Bonanza All American Mix by Buttons Galore & More to make patriotic décor perfect for the party!

Materials:

Button Bonanza All American Mix from Buttons Galore & More
Silver Microbeads from Buttons Galore & More
Wacky Tacky Tape Stars and Wacky Tacky Tape Sheet from Buttons Galore & More
White metal bucket
Liquid adhesive

Instructions:

  1. Create a 2” strip of red, white, and blue buttons around middle third of bucket. Use liquid adhesive to attach buttons to metal tin, using a variety of button sizes and colors to add interest.
  2. Peel one side of backing from star-shaped adhesive and apply silver microbeads, pressing into adhesive to secure and fill shape completely. Peel bead-covered star from backing and apply to top third of metal bucket. Repeat with additional star shapes as desired.
  3. Cut ¼” strip of adhesive from sheet, and apply microbeads in same manner as step 2. Apply around bottom of bucket. Repeat as necessary to create stripe around entire bucket.

Fill completed buckets with glass beads, flags, or citronella candles as decorations, or use to hold napkins, silverware, or candy.

Happy 4th!
