Pretty Pedestal Egg Cups Made With Stacked Buttons

Here is a fun and easy way to display your Easter eggs? Colorful pedestal egg holders made with buttons are a pretty and unique way to showcase Easter eggs! For these egg cups I used a variety of sew through buttons from our several of our  button collections to make the pedestal and flowers and a bee button from the Spring Fling 3D Button Collection for the finishing touch.

For these egg cups I used the bottom half of plastic Easter eggs in a variety of colors.

I wanted to make them all different heights and shapes and use different color combinations. I used Perfect Paper Adhesive to glue the buttons together until I had the height I liked. Make sure that the top button had a concave middle so the curve of the egg cup would sit nicely into the button.

Embellish the edge of the plastic egg by wrapping bits of ribbon and cord around the top.  For a final touch I added a focal flower or bee button. Note: Remove the shank off the Flower and Bee buttons with our Diagonal Precision Craft Cutter did clip off the shank so the egg would sit nicely in the cup.
