Halloween Wreath for ScrapFest 2013

 Supplies for ScrapFest – Halloween Wreath

Directions for Creating Halloween Wreath

  1. Paint wreath and allow to dry.
  2. Glue on ribbon and assorted buttons.
  3. Add accents with white ink.
  4. Gently apply heat to ribbon to make it “melt” for a brief period of time using a Heat Embossing Tool.

Projects will be on display in the Archiver’s at the Mall of America.

Supplies for  Welcome Baby Girl Purse Card

  • It’s a Girl Buttons, Archiver’s Exclusive
  • Fl0wer – K & Company
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Patterned Paper – Doodlebug Design
  • Lori Whitlock’s Purse Card – Silhouette Online Store
  • Adhesive – Scott Craft Glue, Glue Dots

Instructions

  1. Die cut card parts from cardstock and Doodlebug Design Paper (Sugar & Spice) and assemble using Scott Craft Glue.
  2. Add K & Company Flower.
  3. Adhere It’s a Girl Buttons with Glue Dots.

Supplies for Boy Button Magnets

  • Boy Buttons, an Archiver Exclusive
  • Magnets (local craft and hobby supply)
  • AdTech Hot Glue

Instructions

This couldn’t be easier, simply cut the shanks off the backs of the buttons and glue to a magnet. Kids will love these on the fridge, or use on a metal tin for playing games, or even on chore charts.

 Supplies for ScrapFest – Birthday Card

  • Birthday Assortment – an Archiver’s Exclusive
  • Cardstock – Bazzill
  • Embossing Folder – Cuttlebug
  • Embroidery Thread – We R Memory Keepers
  • Sketch Sentiments,  Hippo – Silhouette Online Store
  • Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress ink
  • Inkessentials Blending Foam Tool
  • Adhesive – iCraft Adhesive Tape, Scotch Dimensional Foam Adhesive, Scotch Craft Glue, Glue Dots

Directions for Creating Card

  1. Create a card base, 4.25×5.5.
  2. Cut a mat 4×5.25″ from light blue cardstock. Emboss using Cuttlebug Folder. Ink lightly using Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress ink and an Inkessentials Blending Foam Tool. Adhere to card.
  3. Create Happy Birthday using Lori Whitlock 3D Sketch Sentiments. Simple replace your blade with a Blue Silhouette Pen. Adhere to card. Cut pennant and nested pennant. Ink nested pennant with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Adhere nested pennant to card with iCraft Adhesive Tape. Attach sentiment pennant with Scotch Dimensional Foam Tape.
  4. Cut Hippo. Assemble using Scotch Craft Glue and adhere to card.
  5. Create a slip knot using embroidery thread and attach to each of the balloons. Gather together with additional thread and tie a bow. To adhere to card, place a Glue Dot behind each balloon and the bow.

(Project Note – if you are using Glitter Pens, allow time for Sentiment to dry, as some smearing may occur if the ink is not dry.)

Create a fun Baseball themed embellishment with Baseball Buttons.

 Supplies for Jumbo Baseball Bottle Cap:

  • Baseball Buttons, an Archiver’s Exclusive
  • Bottle Cap – Maya Road
  • Baseball, Number and Killebrew created using the Silhouette Design Software
  • Adhesive – Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, Glue Dots

Instructions

  1. Die cut pieces. Assemble using Craft Glue. Adhere baseball to bottle cap and add number and “Killebrew” on top. Let adhesive set up.
  2. Add baseball and bat buttons using Hot Glue or Glue Dots.

Project note – Add a pin back so you can wear this, or add a magnet to the back and honor your favorite player on the fridge!

Candy Bar Wrapper, Paper Crafts, Baby Boy Congratulations

Supplies for Boy Candy Bar Congratulations

  • It’s a Boy Buttons, Archivers Exclusive
  • Paper – Doodlebug Design
  • 3 Sketch Sentiments – Pens, Lori Whitlock Sketch Font and Banners
  • Copic Markers
  • Adhesive – AdTech Hot Glue and Thermoweb iCraft Tape, Dimensional Foam Tape
  • Other – candy bar (candy bar used was a Heath Bar)

Instructions

  1. Cut patterned paper to fit around candy bar. Wrap candy bar in chosen Doodlebug Design patterned paper. Adhere with iCraft Tape.
  2. Die cut pennants and assemble, placing top layer on nested pennant with dimensional foam tape.
  3. Hot glue It’s a Boy Buttons.

Project Note – 3 Sketch Sentiments was edited to read CONGRATS. Bottom pennant was hand colored to match using Copic Markers.

Directions for Creating Card

  1. Modify Wish Ticket and cut all appropriate pieces. Assemble.
  2. Add Vacation Assortment buttons.
