Do you love crafting for the holidays but just can’t stand making everything red and green? Good news – pink is trending this Christmas! Add this pretty pink Christmas tree decor to your decor to change things up a bit this holiday season!
Supplies for making Pink Christmas Tree Decor:
- 4 x 11 wall canvas
- 28 Lilac Lane “Pretty Princess” embellishment bottle
- acrylic or watercolor paint
- beading needle
- embroidery needle
- felt (green, white & brown)
- embroidery thread
- glue
Begin your pink Christmas tree decor by painting the canvas background. I am using pale pink and pearl white watercolors on my canvas. Set the canvas aside and allow it to dry.
Cut both the green and white felt into triangular shapes (approximately 4” width x 9” height). Also, cut a small rectangle out of the brown felt to use as the trunk for your Christmas tree.
The next step is to add the garland. I cut a section from the white felt prior to overlaying the green to give the tree a more ‘snowy’ appearance. If needed, use a temporary pen to draw on the white felt to act as a guide prior to sewing on the sequins. Using a beading needle and a single strand of thread, string and attach the sequins for the garland.
Attach buttons in the remaining spaces on the tree. I’ve used gold thread, and I really think it makes the Christmas tree pop!
Use glue to attach the tree to the canvas and add a special tree topper, such as a big button, if you would like.
I hope you find this holiday wall art canvas to be a fun and festive project. This trendy pink Christmas tree decor could be the perfect way to perk up your holiday decor with some new color or even give as a gift to a friend!
