Hi Ladies, today I would like to share with you a My Little Cowboy Card – Laura Kelly’s Mixed Buttons from Buttons Galore & More. I live in Western Wyoming and we have lots of Cowboy’s running around here, but this card is perfect for any young man that at one time or other was running around the house in their cowboy boots and hat. The fun thing about Laura Kelly’s Mixed buttons is that I could go either country or patriotic, because the colors are very versatile.
I personally think all little boys look cute in western cowboy wear, but for this project I used La-La Land Crafts Cowboy Luka digi.
I accented My Little Cowboy Card by using Laura Kelly’s Mixed Buttons and finished off with some hemp to give it a more Western look.
I’m not the best in coloring, but I tried using Prisma Color – Watercolor pencils to color Cowboy Luka here.
Now to create my envelope I cut my kraft cardstock 5 x 6″ and then another piece at 4 1/2 x 5 1/2″ and score at a 1/4″ on three sides, which is used to create the pocket. Once I scored and I applied the score tape and adhered to the main piece of the envelope. Now you have a pocket for your envelope. Now you can punch out a semi circle before adhering the pocket to the envelope, which is what I did.
For the card itself I used Authentique Curiosity Paper & Strong Components Kraft Paper, and Teresa Collins Now & Then paper pad. I rounded the corners, used a Spellbinder’s Floral Ovals.
