Who wouldn’t love to receive a sweet little Button Birdie note card in the mail like this one? In this post you will learn just how simple it is to create this little Button Birdie.
One of the best things about this card is, that you probably have everything you need to create the Button Birdie in your paper crafting stash. So gather some patterned scraps of your choice and some coordinating cardstock and don’t forget your button collection.
From your bag, can, jar or jug of buttons you will need one very large button and one very small button. The large will act as the Button Birdie’s body and the very small button will be the Button Birdie’s eye.
This is the simple backdrop I create for the Button Birdie. A neutral background and a nice little hillside for him to sit.
I then hand cut the Button Birdie accents from patterned paper. You will need a beak, a tail and a wing. I also added a sweet little cloud and the sun using a 1″ circle punch. I used a black fine tipped pen to add the Button Birdie’s legs and to accent the sun.
Products Used:

- Happy Campers Collection by We R Memory Keepers
- Fine tipped black pen
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that a sweet little Button Birdie will make it’s way to a loved one of yours some day soon.
