Here’s a special gift for Dad- a handmade frame with a photo of someone who loves him!
You will need:
Buttons- JB117 Citrus
black matboard
Sizzix Big Shot die cut machine
ScoreBoard Frame die
Serif Essentials Sizzix alphabet
Textured Impression folder- wood
black Sharpie
black embroidery floss
stickers or die cut letters
Crystal Effects
craft knife
3 brads
glue
Here’s how to make it:
1. Die cut frame from black matboard.
2. Run frame through embossing folder several times to cover front and back of frame opening.
3. Take black Sharpie and color in all scored areas where white is showing.
4. Make a slit about 3/4″ at top of frame along scored line.
5. String buttons on a piece of black embroidery floss. Leaving buttons in front of frame, wrap thread through the two slits on top of frame and tie inside to secure.
6. Adhere the word Dad to bottom of frame.
7. Insert photo.
8. Assemble with three brads. NOTE: If you are going to mail this, keep folded flat and insert brads in appropriate holes for recipient to assemble.
