Buttons Birdhouse Blog Party

Buttons and birdhouse Spring Design Team Challenge is on!

Each of the designers were sent buttons and birdhouse.  We  asked them to decorate them in any manner they desired.  Any theme, any materials and any colors could be used on the birdhouses.

Niki our DT Coordinator created the pieces below.  She is ever the overachiever and decorated a trio. But, since she is in charge of the team she does not get a chance at the prize.  PRIZE?  Yes a prize.  Vote on this post at the bottom.  Vote for your favorite designers project.  Her projects were inspired by a cool and relaxing color combination of coral, poppy, grey, brown, aqua and cream.

    I really liked Laura Kelly’s birdhouse design the best… though it was hard to choose between 3 that I liked, Laura’s really popped out for me and was so fun and fantastical. I would love to make one just about like it for my own back yard! Thanks for another great chance to win!

    They are all so different and wonderful in their own way. Interesting and impressive how each artist realized the challenge in their respective mediums. However, I vote for Tracy. I have to say, I appreciate the design aspect and practical use of buttons as shingles on Tracy’s bird house…brilliant. Roofing with buttons is no easy task! And it’s tres cute as well. I’d live there.

    LOVE THE FAIRY HOUSES by LAURA KELLY! Maybe they will invite the birds and bees to come in for chamomile tea! I can see them making treats and crafts inside their button houses. Great idea! BUTTON fun for all ages. Dancing fairy villages…Creative!

    mi voto es para Mai la creatividad que mai aplica en este proyecto es muy delicada ya que ella esta guardando y transportando el concepto de la elegancia atravez de los colores y texturas usadas que junto con los botones usados crea un equilibrio entre todo lo que se ve en la composicion.

    My vote is for Mai applying creativity in this project is very delicate since she is keeping and transporting the concept of elegance right through the colors and textures used together with the buttons used creates a balance between what you see on the composition.

    I love Laura’s birdhouse , it’s such a whimsical and creative idea for fairies! Who would have thought about the fairies. Love the colors she used also, should attract lots of the little ones.
