A Button Box for Mother’s Day

Here is an idea to keep Mom’s craft supplies organized. It’s both thoughtful and practical.

This wooden box was the perfect size to fit a wonderful assortment of 28 Lilac Lane embellishments, Buttons Galore hand dyed color buttons and sequins.

To write the quote, “Moms are like buttons they hold everything together” I used Plaid’s Stitch stencils. Test for spacing on a piece of paper. You can use a pencil to write the quote on the cover just to play it safe and trace with a Sharpie.

Experiment with the placement of the buttons and when you are happy with the layout, glue them down using Perfect Paper Adhesive. In this case I used the Rose Garden collection of buttons.

To make a little handle I stitched two buttons together with the heart charm from the 28 Lilac Lane Love Story Embellishment Kit. I knotted the pieces together and glued it onto the lid of the box.
