A beautiful wreath is an essential part of complete holiday decor. This yarn wrapped button wreath helps welcome guests to your home and allows you to express your creativity as well!
Supplies Needed to make Yarn Wrapped Button Wreath:
- 28 Lilac Lane “Savannah Stroll” Embellishment Bottle
- Styrofoam wreath
- pealized straight pins
- 20 gauge wire
- clear glue
- yarn
Begin by wrapping the Styrofoam wreath with yarn. I am using a 6” wreath and a chunky weight of yarn. Try to get the yarn to lay as flat as possible when wrapping.
After the wreath is completely wrapped, the next step is to add some buttons from the 28 Lilac Lane “Savannah Stroll” embellishment bottle. Thread a few inches of wire through the buttons and twist the ends together. Gently push buttons into the wreath until you have achieved the look you desire.
Added sequins in random places around the wreath using pins, and also glue on a few flat back half pearls with a clear drying glue. (Both the sequins and the flat back pearls are also from the 28 Lilac Lane “Savannah Stroll” embellishment bottle.)
I hope you will find this yarn wrapped button wreath to be a fun activity. You don’t need a lot of supplies and it is an easy project that you can make this time of year for a great gift or to keep for yourself!
