Winter Button Layout

A Winter Button Layout to get your crafty juices flowing for 2014.

Now that the hustle and bustle of the holiday season has gone for another year, it might be time to get a start on scrapbooking your holiday photos. My photo was the inspiration for this layout. Taken during our 2013 Christmas break while visiting family in PEI. A winter wonderland this time of year, begging for lots of cozy, bundled up photos to be taken. That is what inspired this Winter Button Layout.

I used a variety of sizes of white and blue buttons that coordinated with this winter collection of papers by SEI.

I created a look of strung buttons for my border on the Winter Button Layout. I attached a piece of embroidery floss the full length of the layout. Then added the separate pieces all the way down. Each piece is a little different consisting of buttons, flowers, chipboard snowflakes and clear plastic snowflakes. I tied floss through some of the buttons.

The title is created using Thickers stickers and a coordinating die cut from SEI. The buttons become the perfect accent for the title of this Winter Button Layout.

For the largest snowflake, I layered 2 buttons on top of the chipboard snowflake. Tied together with white embroidery floss from Plaid.
